Fire: Passionate, has a temper, strong, takes control, proud, courageous, expressive, confident, enthusiastic, can be arrogant or self-centered, also may exhibit aggressiveness to the point where it consumes all in its path. The Gryffindor common room is warm and cozy, with a fireplace and walls covered with scarlet tapestries and is located behind the portrait of the Fat Lady in Gryffindor Tower.

Air: Communicator, social, objective, rational, inventive, original, creative, intellectual, enjoys freedom, can be troubled by an overactive mind and often is prone to depression.  The Ravenclaw common room is one of the airiest rooms at Hogwarts, has a ceiling painted with stars, and is located in Ravenclaw Tower.  Entering requires solving a riddle.

Water: Compulsive, secretive, dreamy, intuitive, ambitious, possessive and protective of loved ones, can be quite sensitive, serene, but also may exhibit a cold attitude.  The Slytherin common room is located partway under the lake, has a low ceiling and a cold atmosphere, and can be accessed from the Dungeon Corridor.

Earth: Stable, stubborn, practical, patient, reasonable, persistent, hard-working, helpful, does what needs to be done without expecting recognition, can be scared of change.  The Hufflepuff common room is located underground, and the entrance to it located behind barrels on the right side of the kitchen corridor.  The common room is extremely comfortable, warm, and has a sunny atmosphere.  It is decorated with various plants, brought there by Pomona Sprout.
